Community Alerts (Community Warning System)
The Community Warning System (CWS) is managed through the Contra Costa Office of Emergency Services. It can alert residents and businesses within Contra Costa County that are impacted by or are in danger of being impacted by an emergency.
The CWS message will include basic information about the incident and what specific protective actions (shelter in place, lockdown, evacuation, avoidance of the area, etc.) are necessary to protect life and health.

Are you or someone you know the victim of identity theft? The Federal Trade Commission and the Identity Theft Council have resources to assist in reporting and developing a recovery plan.
PG&E Community Wildfire Safety Program
California faces a continued and growing threat of extreme weather and wildfires. As an additional precautionary measure following the 2017 and 2018 wildfires, PG&E has enhanced and expanded its Community Wildfire Safety Program with the goal of further reducing wildfire risks and keeping its customers and the communities they serve safe.
Pinole READY
PINOLE READY is a collaborative emergency management program encompassing the City of Pinole services and the community. Its purpose is to organize and manage resources and responsibilities for dealing with all aspects of emergencies. PINOLE READY is a never-ending cycle covering preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation of emergencies.
Disaster Preparedness
Disasters can occur anytime, and history reveals we are not immune in Pinole. Earthquakes, floods, landslides, and gas line ruptures are just a few disasters that have hit our area. While mitigation or the prevention of emergencies is vital, we need everyone to be prepared so that we, as a community, can effectively respond and recover from an emergency. We recommend you plan and be prepared to be self-sufficient for at least 72 hours.
