Pinole’s First Climate Action Plan

Pinole, CA, April 26, 2024 – The City of Pinole is proud to announce the release of its inaugural Climate Action and Adaptation Plan (CAAP) for public review and input. This comprehensive plan represents a significant milestone in the city’s commitment to addressing climate change and building a more resilient and sustainable future for the community.

Over the past year and a half, Pinole has actively engaged with residents, stakeholders, and experts to develop the CAAP. Through community open houses, workshops, pop-ups, surveys, and consultations, valuable insights and perspectives have been gathered to shape this vital document.

The CAAP outlines a strategic framework for reducing greenhouse gas emissions, enhancing resilience to climate impacts, and fostering a healthier environment for residents and visitors. It reflects Pinole’s dedication to environmental stewardship and the determination to take meaningful action for the health of the community.

Pinole City Council Meeting on May 7th

The Pinole City Council will learn more about the CAAP at their regular meeting on Tuesday, May 7^th at 5pm. The public is encouraged to attend and provide public comment.
