Community Celebrates the Grand Re-Opening of Soccer Field

The City of Pinole, in partnership with the West Contra Costa Youth Soccer League (WCCYSL), is excited to announce the Grand Reopening of the Pinole Valley Park East Soccer Field, located at 3799 Pinole Valley Road. The community celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and soccer activities on February 22.

Thanks to a generous donation from WCCYSL and a strong partnership with the City, the soccer field has undergone significant upgrades and is ready to welcome athletes and spectators alike. This revitalization project underscores Pinole’s commitment to enhancing recreational opportunities for its residents.

Distinguished guests attended the grand re-opening ceremony, including Pinole Mayor Cameron Sasai, Councilmembers Maureen Toms and Norma Martinez-Rubin, Mayor Pro Tempore Anthony Tave, WCCYSL President Tyler Dark, and City Manager Kelcey Young.

“We are very proud of the collaboration between the City of Pinole and the West Contra Costa Youth Soccer League, resulting in a project that will continue to benefit our community” said Mayor Cameron Sasai. “This project is a testament to what is possible through strong community collaboration, and Pinole is excited for future opportunities for partnership.”
