Planning Application Information

Proposed changes on a property may require approval of a Planning Application before the changes are conducted. Such changes may include new buildings, additions, change in uses, new signage, and tree removal. More information on the types of Planning Applications and that fall under each type can be found online. Planning staff can assist with additional questions by email, the Department phone line (510-724-8912), the Planning Manager phone (510-724-9842), during open Permit Counter hours on Wednesdays from 1-3pm, or by individual appointment scheduled by email.
