Coffee with a Cop is an opportunity for the police and the community members to come together in an informal, neutral environment to discuss community issues and build relationships. One of the keys to Coffee with a Cop’s success is that it removes the physical barriers between officers and residents and happens outside of the crisis situations that routinely define interactions between law enforcement officials and community members. Instead, it allows for relaxed, informal one-on-one interactions in a friendly atmosphere.
Coffee with a Cop will be held monthly at locations throughout the City of Pinole from 8-10 AM on the second Wednesday of the month.
Project H.O.P.E stands for Helping Others Through Positive Encounters. Through this event, we are able to help houseless individuals by connecting them to resources such as CORE and giving out “Essential Needs Kits” which are filled with hygiene products and to-go snacks. Individuals are also able to receive haircuts, provided free from local hair salons, and are able to take showers provided by Motel 6.
If you know of anyone who would benefit from this event, please have them stop by. In addition, if you would like to purchase a T-shirt or need more information, please reach out to our Community Outreach at nvaldepena@pinole.gov or by phone at 510-910-0866.
Do you want to know what it’s like being a police officer for the day? Put yourself in the shoes of an officer and join the Law Enforcement Academy today! You will get a chance to experience real life scenarios with our new interactive simulator.
Please contact the Community Outreach Unit at 510-910-0866 or by email at nvaldepena@pinole.gov for more information.
Pinole is shaking things up this year with a spooky twist on tradition! Instead of August, we’re celebrating National Night Out in October, Halloween style! National Night Out brings neighbors together to strengthen community bonds and promote safer neighborhoods. Get ready for a night of community spirit with a ghoulishly good time. Mark your calendars and join us for a frightfully fun evening!
Traditionally we partner with Target and local Pinole schools for this program and event. This cherished program not only provides toys but also creates lasting memories for our community. Please contact our Community Outreach Unit to see how you get involved at nvaldepena@pinole.gov or by phone at 510-910-0866.
