Video Reporting
Too busy to have an officer contact you at your home or work but need to make a report? Our Community Outreach Unit offers online video reporting where you can use your favorite social media platform to make the report.
Use FaceTime, Skype, or the Facebook Portal to talk to an officer directly without having to wait for an officer to respond or leave the comfort of your home or work.
What can be reported via the online video reporting:
- A crime that is NOT an emergency.
- You are at least 18 years old.
- You have a working email address.
- The crime did NOT occur on a freeway or highway.
What cannot be reported via the online video reporting:
- You know who committed the crime.
- There is evidence related to the crime (photographs, video, etc.).
- The damage or value is over $5,000.
- The lost or stolen property includes a firearm.
- The loss of stolen property includes the loss of a motorized vehicle (automobile, motorcycle, motor home) or a boat.
- The lost or stolen property includes the loss of a vehicle license plate.
Online video reporting is available Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11 AM to 1 PM.
